Sovereign Grounds Playground & Coffeehouse would like to host a forum for discussions regarding issues and stories concerning our community and surrounding communities. What this essentially means is that you may choose to write on any topic you like. Opinions that can potentially lead to good discussions are cordially invited. Any insight, any knowledge, any information that can potentially be beneficial to our community will certainly be welcomed by almost everybody. Thinking about discussing certain issues with other parents? Would you like to review a book you read recently? Do you have something to say about kids’ education? How about politics and economy? This is also a good place if you want to share your coffeehouse stories and memories with the community.

Registration

To prevent spam and other inappropriate postings, we set up this discussion blog so that you need to register first in order to post your contributions and comments. Registration process is very simple. All you need is an email address. Nothing else is needed. Please click on the “register” button on the main menu above and enter a username and an email address. A password will be emailed to you at the address you entered. Please make sure to change the initial password to something easier to remember. We will not use your email address for any other purpose, and we will certainly not distribute it. No one likes to receive unsolicited emails.

Privileges

Each registered member will automatically be given privileges at the “contributor” level. This will allow you not only to post comments to already published postings but also you can create and edit your own postings to start new discussions. You will also be able to manage and edit all the comments posted to your contributions.

How To Post Your Contributions

Posting your contributions is so easy:

Register for an account if you haven’t done so already
Log in to the discussion pages to access the user panel
Click on the Posts tab
Select the Add New option
Start writing your contribution in the post editing area (blank box)
Select a category, add tags (keywords), and make other selections from the sections below the post (as needed)
When you are ready, click on the Submit for Review button

You can also preview your contribution before submitting it for review, save it as a draft copy (remains unpublished and not submitted for review) and come back later to edit it or delete it. Your contributions submitted for review will be published as soon as they are accepted by one of the moderators. You can always edit your already published contributions and their comments any time you like (by selecting Edit option under Posts or Comments tabs).

Advanced users can enter HTML markup, insert links, photographs, audio and video as well. This is a WordPress blog. For more advanced features, please refer to the help pages at www.wordpress.com.

Please keep in mind that this is a kids-friendly (G-rated) discussion forum. Please refrain from using expletives, inappropriate, defamatory or abusive postings. No solicitations and no advertisements (company or personal) please. The moderators of this forum will not edit the contents of the contributions or comments, but they reserve the right to remove any inappropriate comment or posting.

Photo and Video Credits

Please do not post any copyrighted material without the permission of the original copyright holder. The material that you personally own or created is always refreshing and preferable. It is a good practice to include a caption for each image and video you post (whenever possible) and always give credit when the credit is due.

Market Place and Exchange

Coming soon! We have plans to enable registered members to post (free of charge) personal For Sale and For Free announcements in a separate part of the community pages (of course, with the same generous privileges). Since that database will also be searchable by all search engines, your ads will enjoy global exposure as well. Please stay tuned.

Discussion blogs are easy to start and a lot of fun. So, if you have something in mind to share, and if you love writing, this is for you!
